# Project owner and member

### Project owner

One of the project members can become the project owner.

Each project only has one project owner, but can have many project members. Both project owner and project members can add, remove, and edit (scriptwriting and media review) tasks in the project. Both project owner and project members can update the project's status.

By default, the person who creates the project will be set as the project's owner and can reassign project owner to other members.

**To identify the project owner:**

1. Navigate to the "**Overview"** section of the project;
2. You will find the project owner listed under "**Project roles".**

2. Click on the dropdown arrow beside any project member's name and select "**Set as project owner".**

### Project members

In CreatiBI, member roles are freely defined by users based on their own business needs. Roles do not have specific functional differences; instead, they serve as fields for quickly confirming each other's identity and responsibilities among users collaborating on a project.

#### To set up project member role:

1. Navigate to the "**Project roles"** section of the project's "**Overview"** tab
2. Click the dropdown arrow next to any project member's name;
3. Select "**Add role**."
